Wow!!! It just feels like yesterday. We were [and still are :)] this young, ambitious team raring to change the world.
Started by booking our domains www.ihc.io and www.indianhealthcentre.com. How did we get to these names...well that's another story.
Friends joined together as tech and dev. team and code begin to flow...as did more coffee. To sustain a living, we did healthcare outsourcing gigs on the side.
More code and more coffee led to an IHC alpha launch. Our early adopters included industry veterans Dr. BK Singh, Chief of Joint Replacement at Primus & Artemis Hospitals and other senior doctors like Dr. Khalid Qasim (Homeopathy Physician), Dr.Anuj Gupta (Chest Physician) and Dr. Rajesh Bhardwaj (ENT Surgeon). We focused maniacally on feedback to enhance UI|UX and significantly improve ease of use. This early experience reinforced our vision of building a connected healthcare ecosystem.
Encouraged by Prof Indrajeet Bhattacharya, IHC BKT working paper "Implementing seamless Usability Index (UI) for EMRs in OPD / IPD / Diagnostics / Labs settings in India" was presented at APAMI2014.
Launched IHC Beta. Added more invite-only access to doctors and healthcare providers. We were doing our version of “One Plus” invites for web app use.
Revamped product design and database. Opened our first outreach centre nearly 280kms away from home in Chaikutiya. That was heavy lifting! Introduced detailed appointment system and triage, Hi-Res scan, on the fly radiology film scan, easy clinical notes and e-prescription with a database of over 50,000 medicines, OPD billing, among other features. By this time our core team of family and friends was coming together and it felt like we’d suddenly grown a few years. You should have seen that glow in our faces then, like an Aha moment!
Came out of Beta and launched our paid platform offering. No longer were we the best kept secret for doctors and patients. Introduced customizable templates for clinical notes. Orthopedics, homeopath, pediatrics, gynae, cosmetologists, GP’s started showing some love and adopted. Validated our platform vision via industry tie-ups with partners like M2M Enablers, Raftaar & Mednexus.
Published Doc Assist and Patient PHR mobile apps on Google Playstore. Go ahead, find us and get started. Introduced text chat for doctors. At the same time introduced video-chat prototype. By this time, we’re streamlining product strategy and validating the vision, apart from socializing the concept with angels and early-stage investors to raise our seed investment. Things are falling in place…Oh and now back to business.
